Leicester will arrive at Kingsholm (kick-off 2.15pm) with a better away league record this season than at Welford Road.
Tigers have won twice on their travels - against Newcastle and Sale Sharks - but it is three defeats and a draw on home soil, which has contributed to an unfamiliar Premiership position of 10th.
Only bottom club Newcastle have lost more league fixtures than Leicester this term, yet the Premiership's highly-competitive nature means that while the Tigers may be six places behind Gloucester, the gap between them is only five points.
"Their 10th position in the table doesn't reflect on the ability of their squad," Gloucester head coach Redpath said.
"It just reflects on their injury list and the World Cup period.
"They will be fighting in every game now because they need to push for that top four, and that is what Leicester always target.
"It's not going to be easy, and it shouldn't be easy. We have to earn our wins, and we didn't do that last week (against Harlequins)."
Leicester are unbeaten in the Heineken Cup this season, and rugby director Richard Cockerill accepts a key phase of the campaign is upon his players.
"This is a big month of fixtures with Gloucester and Northampton, and then the European double-header against Clermont Auvergne," he said.
"Gloucester have a good pack and a dangerous set of backs, and Kingsholm is always a tough place to go.
"But we put in a good all-round performance against Ulster last weekend. Our defence was good throughout and we got the basics of the game right and came through in the end."
Gloucester show two changes from the side beaten at home by Harlequins in European action last weekend.
Olly Morgan has recovered from a shoulder injury to reclaim the number 15 shirt, while a back-row shuffle sees Luke Narraway packing down at number eight and Alasdair Strokosch moving to blindside flanker. Jonny May and Scott Lawson drop to the bench.
Leicester welcome back a quartet of players for the trip to the west country as centre Billy Twelvetrees, prop Martin Castrogiovanni, lock George Skivington and flanker Ben Woods all feature.
Injuries sideline Andy Forsyth and Geoff Parling, while England pair Ben Youngs and Dan Cole are on replacement duty.
