Sheridan: Heading to France this summer

Sheridan has agreed a three-year deal with the French Top 14 club, who already have England internationals Jonny Wilkinson, Simon Shaw, Steffon Armitage and Dean Schofield in their ranks.

The 32-year-old's decision to leave Aviva Premiership signals the end of his England career.

The Rugby Football Union's policy is to not select players based outside English domestic rugby other than in exceptional circumstances.

Sheridan, who has won 40 England caps and two for the Lions, made one appearance at the 2011 Rugby World Cup before flying home to undergo shoulder surgery.
