Hooker Ed Shervington has become the latest player to pledge his future to Worcester Warriors after signing a new deal to remain at the Premiership club.
Dynamic hooker Shervington, 26, who has made a total of 32 appearances for the club over the last two seasons, joins the likes of Shaun Perry and Jonny Arr who have also agreed new terms in recent weeks.
Forwards Coach Phil Davies said: "Since Ed has joined us from the Ospreys he has developed into a high quality Premiership starter.
"I've been impressed by his attitude and he does a lot of work on the physical aspect of the game and conditioning to make sure he is in the best possible shape. He also works tirelessly on his line-out throwing and contributes to the scrum, making him an invaluable set piece forward.
"The added advantage with Ed is that he is great around the park, has great feet and carries the ball well. He has been a top signing and is only young so will get better and better."
Shervington enjoyed a fine debut season at Warriors during the 2010/11 campaign and made 17 appearances, scoring four tries.
The Newport-born front rower is a product of the Ospreys development system, making a total of 38 appearances for the Welsh giants before his move to Warriors.
The front rower, who has been capped for Wales at Under-18, Under-19 and Under-21 level, said: "I've had a really good few seasons at Sixways and I'm excited to extend that.
"We've made a really strong start to 2012 and if we had closed out some of the tight games we would be in an even better place. The reason for signing is simple, because I think the Warriors have a big future.
"Everybody talks about the facilities and set-up here, but the rugby is moving forward too and hopefully with the players we will sign and retain we will only get stronger. There is a big future for the club and I want to be going places with Worcester.
"There was interest from other clubs but I am settled in the area with my girlfriend Stacey. We love the city, the fans and Worcester is where I want to be. It is the best place I can be.
"I've also enjoyed working with the coaching team here, especially Phil Davies. He is hugely experienced and working alongside him has only benefitted my overall game."
