The Lions third full-scale tour of Australia begins with a game against the Barbarians in Hong Kong on June 1, and will also include fixtures against Australia's Super 15 sides and three Tests against the Wallabies.
It will be the fifth tour for which Sky have had the exclusive live rights, dating back to the victorious 1997 tour of South Africa.
Wales head coach Warren Gatland is widely expected to be the man charged with leading the tourists Down Under.
Lions chief executive John Feehan said: "We are absolutely delighted that Sky will be showing the British & Irish Lions tour to Australia and Hong Kong live next year.
"Over the last number of tours we have come to expect only the best coverage and huge commitment from Sky to showcase the best of British & Irish rugby talent.
