Racing need to make amends

Edinburgh will want to build on their impressive start to their Heineken Cup Pool when they face a Racing Metro side determined to make an amends for their poor start to the campaign.

The Scottish side pulled off a real upset when they recorded a 20-19 victory over Premiership outfit London Irish in Reading to end an eight-game losing streak in Europe on the road.

Edinburgh, who reached the quarter-finals of the Heineken Cup when they lost out to Toulouse in 2004, will be hoping to add the scalp of one of the emerging powers of French rugby on Friday night.

Racing Metro, who suffered a shock 26-20 home defeat to the Cardiff Blues last weekend, will make their first trip to Scotland in the Heineken Cup and will want to prove why they were runners up in last season's Top 14 in France.

The French side, who are only in their second season of Heineken Cup rugby, have only won two of their seven games in Europe and will be looking to return home from Scotland with a win.
