Tigers out for revenge

Leicester Tigers will be seeking to avenge last weekend's defeat in France when they host Clermont Auvergne at Welford Road in the return fixture of the Pool Four double header on Saturday.

The former European champions, who lifted the Heineken Cup in 2001 and 2002, suffered a 30-12 defeat on Sunday to one of the favourites to win this season's tournament.

The Tigers, who are third in their pool, know they need to beat the Top 14 outfit to keep their quarterfinals hopes alive and they have an impressive 17-match unbeaten home record in Europe.

The French side, who win the Amlin Challenge Cup in 1999 and 2007, have already won their last two games in the pool and will know a victory over the Tigers will put them in pole position for a place in the knockout stages.

But Clermont, who lie in second in the French championship, don't have a great away record in the tournament, having won only two of their last 10 Heineken Cup games on the road
