Stoddart: Two yellow cards against Clermont Auvergne

The Scarlets wing was sent off after 37 minutes of the 49-16 defeat at the Stade Marcel Michelin on Saturday following a second yellow card from referee Peter Fitzgibbon which effectively ended the Welsh side's hopes of an upset.

Antony Davies has been appointed as the independent Judicial Officer and he will consider the matter by means of written submissions, the ERC said in a statement.

The decision will then be communicated in advance of this weekend's round two matches with Scarlets set to host Leinster.
