Murray: Scored Munster's first try against Edinburgh

Second-half tries from Conor Murray, Peter O'Mahony, Sean Dougall and Damien Varley sealed the bonus-point victory for the hosts while Ian Keatley kicked three penalties and two conversions after their opening-round defeat to Racing Metro.

For Edinburgh the defeat all but ends their hopes of repeating last season's progress to the latter stages of the competition following their heavy loss to Saracens last weekend.

Munster dominated the opening 40 minutes but led just 6-0 at the break following two penalties from Keatley, who started in place of the injured Ronan O'Gara.

Munster's dominance of possession and territory finally paid off 10 minutes into the second half when Murray darted through a gap around the fringes and slide under the posts following a series a series of busting surges from the hosts.

Keatley added the simple conversion and a third penalty in the 56th minute to give the hosts a sizeable lead.

With 10 minutes remaining O'Mahony powered over from close-range following a driving lineout and Dougall grabbed Munster's third try of the afternoon after supporting a break away from Keatley.

The home fans roared Munster on in the final minutes as they hunted the bonus-point try and their pack delivered again as Varley crossed following another powerful driving maul.
