Munster's Irish international scrumhalf Peter Stringer on Saturday agreed to join Saracens on a three-month deal after the English Premiership champions suffered an injury crisis.

Both Richard Wigglesworth and Neil de Kock are currently sidelined so Saracens approached Munster with the proposal of a short-term loan deal.

"I believe I still have a lot to offer and I want to continue to play at the highest level," Stringer said.

"In the situation I currently find myself, that is outside the Munster matchday squad, I think this temporary switch to Saracens will serve my ambition best," he explained.
