Terblanche stars in Ulster win

Stefan Terblanche rolled back the years to deliver a try-scoring display on his first Ulster start and inspire his new side to a bonus-point 33-17 Pro 12 victory over Munster.

The 37-year-old former South Africa wing joined the Irish province on a short-term deal after Jared Payne was ruled out for the season and used all his experience to create one try and score another.

Meanwhile, the Scarlets made it back-to-back wins during the festive period, with a 10-6 victory over the Dragons to pile more misery on the Pro 12 strugglers.

Former Dragon Aled Thomas returned to haunt his old employers by kicking the decisive penalty after being named as a late inclusion at flyhalf when Stephen Jones failed a fitness test.

In truth the home side dominated the clash but some wasteful kicking from Dragons centre Lewis Robling - who replaced Jason Tovey on the kicking duties when he picked up a first-half injury - was the difference between the sides.

Robling missed four penalties as a try from Johnathan Edwards, converted by Dan Newton, set the stage for Thomas to remind his former employers of his skills.
