Calcutta Cup: Saturday's prize for England or Scotland

An incorrect selection in a website stock check by Greaves Sports - Scottish Rugby Union's online retail partner - resulted in T-shirts produced following the 2008 win over England at Murrayfield being re-released, declaring "Calcutta Cup. Scotland. Winners."

The error over the four-year-old garments was made on Friday and corrected on Monday.

A spokesman for Greaves Sports said: "This was nothing more than an administrative error with some old stock ending up on the website by mistake.

"These T-shirts were hugely popular back in 2008 when Scotland last took Calcutta Cup honours and hopefully this will be a good omen for Saturday and they'll end up in demand once more."

England won the last meeting between the sides to eliminate Scotland from the World Cup in October.
