Mike Blair: Insists Scotland will support Andy Robinson's choice as captain

Saracens back-row Kelly Brown, who has 49 caps, has been strongly tipped land the armband.

Lock Alastair Kellock, scrum-half Rory Lawson, Edinburgh hooker Ross Ford and Blair have all held the role in the last two years.

Blair believes there are plenty of suitable candidates in the squad and that the focus remains on the group and not individuals.

"Whoever is captain will get a lot of support from guys around them," said Blair. "There are guys within the team, within the squad, who have plenty of caps and experience.

"It's not so much a situation now where it's just one person. It is a group of people. There are multiple people involved in the leadership of the side."
