Cheetahs look at their options

The Cheetahs have given a few fringe players the opportunity to impress in their Super Rugby pre-season clash with the Bulls at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on Saturday.

Coach Naka Drotske has made five changes to the team that beat the Stormers at Newlands last week - three in the backline and two in the forward pack.

Fullback Willie le Roux replaces Hennie Daniller following an encouraging cameo off the bench against the Stormers and he is joined in the back three by experienced wing Ryno Benjamin.

In midfield Philip Snyman gets the opportunity to play alongside flyhalf Johan Goosen and outside centre Robert Ebersohn in the basence of Andries Strauss who is on the bench.

In the forwards Ashley Johnson gets a run at blindside flank ahead of Philip van der Walt, with Drotske opting to continue playing Davon Raubenheimer in the No.8 jersey.

Up front promising young prop Trevor Nyakane gets a chance to show what he can do at loosehead alongside his captain Adriaan Strauss and specialist tighthead WP Nel.
