The Cheetahs have been forced to make two changes to their backline as they look to bounce back from defeat last week in their Super Rugby derby with the Bulls in Bloemfontein this weekend.
Utility back Willie le Roux comes in for right wing Dusty Noble who has been ruled out with a serious knee injury, but he will line up in the No.11 jersey with Rocco Jansen moving across to take up the inevitable aerial battle with Bulls ace Bjorn Basson.
Philip Snyman gets the nod to take the suspended Andries Strauss' place at inside centre ahead of the hard-tackling Barry Geel, and there are no other changes to the team that went down to the Lions in Johannesburg last week.
Cheetahs assitant coach Hawies Fourie knows that even though the Bulls have lost a clutch of senior players they will still provide a fierce examination for his side who will be desperate to win their first game in front of their home crowd on Saturday.
He said: "If you have got 11 Springboks in your side you have got a very good side. They [Bulls] have got enough experience and there are quite a few youngsters who are performing well and that played well in the Currie Cup last year."
The Cheetahs line-out was shown up in pre-season by the Bulls, but Fourie believes that they have rectified those issues and will be able to ask the right questions of a Bulls team that are fresh off a confidence-boosting win over the Sharks last week.
"I think last week we made a huge step-up with our line-out where we struggled against the Bulls in Polokwane, so our first phase was good and we are also satisfied with the first-phase attack from the backs," he said.
