'Canes break Lions' heart at the death

Published: Friday, 2. March, 2012 in category Super Rugby

The Hurricanes were able to snatch a 30-28 victory over the Lions right at the death in a tightly contested Super Rugby match in Johannesburg on Friday.

Both sides were dead on their feet by the end of the match after running themselves into the ground in a festival of attacking rugby.

The lead changed hands throughout the match and both sides will feel as thought they deserved the win, but it was the Hurricanes who held their nerve at the end.

Impressive flyhalf Beauden Barrett kicked 15 points, while both sides were able to score three tries as a reward for enterprising play.
