Rennie 'tweaks' winning combination

Chiefs coach Dave Rennie has tweaked his team to play the Brumbies in their Round Four Super Rugby match in Tauranga on Friday.

Coming off wins over the Crusaders and Highlanders, the Chiefs' run-on team for the match at the Bay Park Stadium will feature a few key changes.

Tanerau Latimer moves to the left side and Sam Cane will play on the right.

Liam Messam moves into No.8.

Jackson Willison will start at outside centre and Richard Kahui moves to the wing to replace Asaeli Tikoirotuma, who is on bereavement leave.

Two players who were in the Chiefs Development side last week that beat Samoa A 71-17, come onto the bench - prop Josh Hohneck and hooker Marcel Cummings-Toone.

Cummings-Toone replaces Hika Elliot, who is out until the next home game with a scratched eye.

They are joined by Scott Waldrom, who puts on the Chiefs playing strip for the first time this season.

Loose forward and Bay of Plenty local, Tanerau Latimer is looking forward to the Chiefs home game in his back yard.

"We have always have lots of support when we play at the Bay and the boys really appreciate it," Latimer said.

"You can tell from last week's match that having that local support really spurs the guys on. It definitely helped when it came to that last twenty minutes against Canterbury which was pretty intense." Latimer added.
