Pivotal buy for the Force

Western Force coach Richard Graham has brought Australian Sevens representative and leading New South Wales first grade playmaker David Harvey into his squad on a short-term contract - to help resolve their problems at flyhalf.

The Force were left reeling in January when first-choice flyhalf Willie Ripia quit the club after being caught stealing from teammates.

James Stannard is expected to remain the Force's first-choice No.10 for the time being, but that could change if Harvey impresses off the bench over the next few weeks.

The winless Force will again be without Ben McCalman for the match against the Waratahs, with the Wallabies flank still nursing a shoulder injury suffered two weeks ago.
