Blues lose another flyer

Another name has been added to the lengthy list of injured Blues players, as wing David Raikuna who was named to start against the Stormers on Friday in Cape Town has been withdrawn due to a hamstring injury.

Raikuna came into the side this week to replace the suspended Rene Ranger, but he strained his hamstring during training and has been ruled out of the match.

This means 20-year-old Aucklander Ben Lam will start on the right wing and Francis Saili (brother of Peter) will move onto the bench in jersey 22.

Both players are from the Blues wider training group.

The other Blues players unavailable this week are Jerome Kaino, Michael Hobbs, Isaia Toeava, George Moala, Tony Woodcock, Rudi Wulf, Anthony Boric and Rene Ranger.
