Forgotten Wallaby wing Clyde Rathbone is attempting a Super Rugby comeback with the Brumbies, at age 31.
This follows after his international career was derailed by injuries and depression.
Rathbone played 26 Tests for Australia and 52 matches for the Brumbies before retiring prematurely in 2009 - after a series of groin, knee, hamstring and facial injuries.
He revealed in February he had also had a life-long battle with depression.
Brumbies officials confirmed on Monday that Rathbone is training with their squad in the hope of winning a contract for the 2013 Super Rugby season.
South African-born Rathbone captained his birth country to victory at the 2002 Under-21 World Cup under current Brumbies and former Springboks coach Jake White.
