Strokosch heading to Perpignan

Scottish international flank Alasdair Strokosch has signed a two year contract with 2009 Top 14 champions Perpignan.

The 29-year-old - formerly with English Premiership side Gloucester - was recommended to Perpignan by fellow Scottish international Nathan Hines, who used to play for them and is now with rivals Clermont.

Strokosch, who began his career with Edinburgh and has won 25 caps for his country, is one of nine new recruits by Perpignan, who had a disappointing season battling against relegation and eventually finished 11th.
