Sale Sharks handed their new head coach Jason Robinson a dream start to the new Guinness Premiership season on Friday night, defeating the defending champions, Leicester, 15-12 at Edgeley Park.

A battle of the boot, Sharks centre Lee Thomas slotted five penalties to just the four from new Tigers No.10 Jeremy Staunton, handing Dean Schofield men a fantastic result to kick start their new season.
